Hurricane? What Hurricane?

Wow, did we get pounded. Well not really. I think the wind is actually blowing for the first time here since May but other than that we didn't even get more than a few drops of rain! I guess that means no one in B-CS will need to buy bottled water or batteries for about six months! Praise the Lord that Houston and Galveston dodged the bullet. I wish everyone in Beaumont and Lake Charles the best as they dry out and clean up and hope they are all okay.

B-CS Prepares for Hurricane Rita: I saw this guy at Sam's. He bought a whole trailer full of stuff, maye we should take shelter at his place! Posted by Picasa

The Path of the Storm

Well it looks like Rita, now a Category 5 storm is headed right for us. We have halted all cabinet deliveries to Houston and Clearlake through at least Tuesday of next week. Yikes! Please pray for everyone in its path.

Even here, 125 miles north of Galveston, everyone is going nuts to prepare for the storm. No water, batteries, radios, ice, flashlights could be found at Sam's, Walmart, Albertson's and just about everywhere else.

They have moved the Aggie/TSU game to Thursday night at 7p.m. Go Aggies!

I'm hoping all the panic is just from the recent memories of Katrina and that we will not see anything but a little thunderstorm. But I guess it is always better to be safe than sorry. As said today by John T. "Hope is not a plan".

Gig'em Aggies!!!!

So maybe it was only SMU, but it sure has been a long time since we whooped up on anybody 66-8! And considering we got beat by Baylor last year, any win is worth celebrating! Way to go Reggie for setting a school record of 449 yards of total offense.

It sure was great to be back in Kyle Field. It was the first time for us to go since the wedding reception there. We had a big crowd in the box and had a great time. After the game we all ate dinner at my folks' to celebrate Rachel's birthday.

Happy Birthday to Rachel!!

300 Days

Today Kenny and I've been married for 300 days, I can't believe how fast time flies. Did you see that Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney split up already? I can't stand to hear about celebrity marriages. WOW, we've made it 180 days longer than they did, I'm really proud of our accomplishment ;-), haha!

I came across these photos today from my third attempt at a bridal portrait a whole year ago, I didn't think we'd ever get that thing taken (a.k.a. rain storms and attack of the love bugs)!

Quote of the Day

"When it's all said and done, usually a lot more has been said than done."
-unknown

Song of the day: Nickelback "Photograph" in stores 10/4

Also good: "Probably wouldn't be this way" LeAnn Rimes (this one makes me cry)

I just got home from my weekly dinner with Rebecca & Dana. What a blessing to be able to still spend time with Rebecca after all these years, someone I grew up with and know so well! Kenny enjoys it too because that means he gets to spend the whole evening uninterrupted at the ranch.

September Wedding

We had an awesome time at Aaron and Kristen's wedding this weekend near Grapevine. They looked so happy and everything was beautiful! We especially enjoyed getting to hang out with Mom & Dad Bolline, we miss getting to see them! The men had a super fun time at Cabella's looking at guns and fishing rods. We also got to meet Terrell and his family for lunch and it was great to see all of them.

It's September!

Well it was back to work today after a fun Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately my beloved Aggies lost their first game on Saturday by 1 point =-( !! We spent Sunday and Monday at the lake with family and friends. Kenny took Kelsey and me on a jet ski ride. I wish I had my camera to see what that little dog looked like on the back of a jet ski, I was surprised by how much she seemed to enjoy it, that is until "daddy" dumped her in to the water!

This weekend we head to Fort Worth to Aaron and Kristen's wedding. It should be a fun time, Congratulations to them!!
