The only thing missing is . . . .

The only thing missing is two little Aggies. For all you non-Aggies, don't worry my kids will not be in maroon 100% of the time. Only when the Aggies are on the field or on the court and we are cheering them on. Someone needs to take away my credit card because right now I just see so many cute things that I just can't help but get. These babies will only be little once and it won't last very long.

I want to enjoy every second of it!

Parenting Practice

We got to watch our niece and nephew Monday night and we had a lot of fun. They are such good and adorable kids. But we sure were tired later, we are realizing more and more that raising 2 infants is going to be a lot of hard work, but we can't wait =-).

Rain Delay

I'm not sure why these pictures are appearing so large but anyway, we had a great weekend and inspite of a 2 hour rain delay that resulted in the stadium being evacuated and then reopened, the Aggies are now 4-0!!! It was hard to stay out so late but we had a good time. It hasn't been pretty so far and considering who we've played 4-0 may not sound that special but I can't remember the last time we started conference play at 4-0 so we'll take it!! This weekend we play Texas Tech at home and hopefully we'll play up to our potential.

A Look at the babies' progress @ 4 Months

Here is what says about the babies' progress right now. Basically I have over 9 inches of baby inside me and they are going to grow really fast over the next 3 weeks. This explains a lot!

Two avocadoes in my belly!!

"At 4 1/2 inches long (head to bottom) and 3 1/2 ounces, your baby is about the size of an avocado. In the next three weeks, she'll go through a tremendous growth spurt, though, doubling her weight and adding inches to her length.

Her lower limbs are much more developed now. Her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved toward the front of her head. Your baby's ears are close to their final position, too. Some of her more advanced body systems are working, including her circulatory system and urinary tract. Although closed, her eyes are moving (slowly), and she's even started growing toenails."

Too Cute!!

Look what Aunt Dana bought for the twins!! Aggie Maroon!! These will be perfect for their first football season next year!!

One Big Hog

Kenny shot a 280 lb hog at the ranch this weekend. The biggest one ever seen out there. The animal was pretty gross, but Kenny was very proud of his find. Way to go Kenny =-).

Flashback Friday

I took this picture back in March 2004 and I happened to run across it today. It still cracks me up as much now as it did back then. Am I a mean mommy or what??

Babies Update

Less than 5 months to my twin due date!! I had my 14 week checkup with the OB on Tuesday and everything seems to be coming along fine. I'm measuring about 20 weeks which is where he would like me to be at this stage with twins. I go back at 18 weeks and again at 20 when I'll have my big ultrasound to see if we can tell the genders of the babies, how exciting!!

Perhaps I'm an obsessed first time mom but I couldn't help but get my own at home fetal heart doppler. We've been able to locate both babies heart beats on our own and it's been a fun and reassuring way to check on them from time to time.

Yesterday I got another ultrasound at Hope Pregnancy Center and the babies looked really good. I'll post some pictures once I get them scanned in. They measured their heads and brain matter and everything is right on schedule. They were moving around like crazy, especially Baby B. Everytime we looked at him from the side we saw this white shadow that they said was perhaps "baby boy parts". Of course it's still so early and not real accurate but it is a possibility that he is a boy. They said it could have just been the cord floating there. We didn't see anything like that on Baby A. So perhaps a boy and a girl??? Maybe!! I guess we'll know better in about 5 weeks.

Gig 'Em, Aggies

Aggie Men's Basketball No.14 In Lindy's Preseason Preview

COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M men's basketball team is ranked No. 14 nationally heading into the 2006-07 season in Lindy's College Basketball preview magazine.
The only other Big 12 team ranked in the top 25 is No. 3-ranked Kansas.

The 43 victories they've amassed under (Billy) Gillispie are just a tasteof what could be on tap, considering the enormous recruiting success they have enjoyed of late," the magazine said of the Aggies. "Gillispie returns two All-Big 12 and All-American candidates in Acie Law and Joseph Jones. The A&M powers-that-be obviously knew they were getting a quality head coach when they hired Gillispie away from UTEP, but the impact he's made on the national scene in such a short period has to be a revelation."

Lindy's picks the Aggies to finish second in the Big 12 behind the Jayhawks and to advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. The publication names Law and Jones to its first-team All-Big 12 squad, tabbing Law as the nation's fourth-best point guard and Jones as thecountry's ninth-best center. A&M freshmen Bryan Davis and Donald Sloan also received mention, Davis for being the best rebounder and Sloan for being one of the best jump shooters among the league's newcomers.

A Bolline Weekend

We had a great weekend, the Aggies won their second game of the season, 51-7 against Lousiana-Lafayette. Here are some pictures from the flag fundraiser we participate in and from the game. Also a fun photo of the man who swore "No dog would ever be allowed in the bed at his house!"

Just for Fun

I know we have plenty of time to come up with names for our babies but I'm already anticipating that naming them will be the hardest decision we have to make so I created a baby naming poll online to help us brainstorm. I'm not 100% sold on anything and we'll likely change our minds a lot in the coming weeks but I thought this would be a fun way to get some input. Of course when it comes down to it we may not take your advice at all, LOL =-).

I love this time of year!!

Here are some pictures from the weekend which included lots of Aggie Athletics. I went to soccer games on Friday and Sunday, the Aggies are ranked #4 in the nation!! Then Saturday was our season opener at home against The Citadel. Now I know they are not a big school with a dominating football team, but any true Aggie fan knows that nothing is a sure thing and a win is a win. The first picture is of our new jumbo-tron which is a nice addition, it's 3,900 square feet. I don't know what it is about football season but I just love it!!
