Country Boy, City Girl

"A country boy and a city girl, making their way in this old world. Going against the grain and against all odds. I don't care what they say, I'm gonna love you anyway. Time can't erase what you've gone and done to my heart."

Sorry for the silly Clay Walker sound bite ;-). We went down to where the ranch borders the Navasota River on Sunday for some fishing. It was a lot of fun and I caught 2 big fish incuding this river monster (needle-nose gar). It faught real hard and jumped about 4 feet out of the water 2 times while I was wrestling it to the shore and Kenny tackled it. Pretty crazy!!

Almost Complete

Kenny got so much done on the house while I was out of town. We are all so excited about it being done soon. I'm really proud of what a good job he's done on such a difficult project. I can't wait to try out that water slide!!

Those aren't really spots on the walls, my flash just went kinda crazy.

My girls guarded my messy half unpacked suitcase as if to say "Mama, don't even think about going away again anytime soon". It's good to be home!! Posted by Picasa

I love it when Kelsey tilts her head when I ask her a question. She's a great listener! Posted by Picasa

Coming to an End

Today is our last day in CO, we fly out of Eagle tomorrow to go back to Texas and the 85 degree weather. I'd be lying if I didn't say it was wonderful to be away from tax returns, general ledgers, and number crunching this week, but I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME!! I miss Kenny so much and am so excited to see him tomorrow. If he was here, I'm sure I would have wanted to stay much longer, we've had a great time.

Tonight we are watching the Lady Aggies in their NCAA appearance. They play TCU at 8:30 CST on ESPN2. GO AGGIES!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

End of the Road

The Aggies lost in the final seconds to LSU when they made a 3 pointer with 7 seconds left to take them to 58 over our 57. It's the end of the road now but we couldn't be more proud of our best season in 25 years.

Swiper, our friendly neighborhood fox, comes by for a visit. She looks so much healthier than when she came by in December.

Swiper strikes a pose for the camera.

Such a pretty face!!

Dad feeds Swiper some lunch meat.

Spring Break

We arrived yesterday in Colorado for Spring Break. Kenny was unable to make the trip because he is hard at work on completing my parents' house. I must admit I'm pretty depressed to be up here without him. It was sunny when we arrived but it's been snowing non-stop all day and we've hardly been able to leave the house. The slopes ought to be in great shape!

Happy 30th Birthday Casey!!

On Monday night we all went to Pappasito's to celebrate Casey's birthday which was March 6th. I can hardly believe my big brother is 30 years old!!!

Lauren shows off her cute cow girl hat and boots that she wore to see George Strait at the rodeo.

I should read this every day!

Hebrews 1
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. . . By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. . . They were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect."

Weekend in Austin

I had the most fun weekend! I got to spend Saturday and Sunday in Austin with my good friends Heather & Clint and my former roomie from Houston, Sarah Carlson. It was a long over due reunion for the three of us!! I'm thankful for such special friends and I really miss getting to see them! I got to meet Heather's new baby girl Abbey for the first time. She is such an angel!! She was so good on our girls day out and she let us all take turns passing her around. What a joy she is!!! I also got to see Jackson, Abbey's big brother who is getting so grown up! What a fun time we all had!

Wedding Update

Dana has only been engaged a week and she has been so productive. The place and date are set, Saturday May 27th at 7pm at Sawdust Ranch. She has the minister, photographer, videographer, caterer, & cake lady all booked.

We went to Houston on Friday and she bought her wedding dress and mom's dress and she has all but ordered the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. WOW!!! Her wedding dress is absolutely beautiful! I'd post pictures that I took of her in it but I'd probably get in trouble!!

Pandemonium!!!

I captured this with my digital camera. Pretty exciting!

White Out

Kenny & I helped cheer the Aggies on to Victory over #6 Texas tonight at Reed Arena. The Aggies were tied with 1.5 seconds left and Acie Law shot a 3 pointer at the buzzer to win the game!!
