It's easy to tell Lauren is Rachel's daughter becuase they look so much alike, but her fascination with the sparklers proves she's got a lot of her daddy in her as well ;-).
Here, Kenny & I are with the Cloutmans who made a special DVD photo memory montage set to music for Dana & Shawn, which was very nice.

Anyway, I confess, I bought Nick Lachey's new album "What's Left of Me". I'm not even that big of a pop music or boy band type of listener but something inside me just had to buy it ;-). But the biggest surprise is how good it actually is. He is listed as a writer on almost all of the songs and you almost feel like you're listening to personal letters intended for one audience.
Here are a few lyrics:
"You've got it all but still you long for more/You cry/So desperate for your place among the stars/But why/You're searching for what you already are
You're beautiful/That's all I can say/Unforgettable/I'm caught in every way/Don't ever let the mirror tell you lies/Just look at your reflection through my eyes"
"But if the world should ever fall apart around you/And if you're lost and barely breathing I will find you/And carry you back home/I won't forsake the only love I've ever known/When you're out there on your own
And I will wait/However long it takes/Till you realize what you've been searching for/Was right here all along"
That's sad stuff!!

I'm a malignant melanoma survivor. Not just once, but twice, both diagnosed and removed in 2002 along with lymph nodes and large sections of healthy skin, some replaced with skin grafting. Melanoma is beatable if it's detected early but once it has spread to other parts of the body it is almost always fatal.
So next time you head to the tanning booth or lay by the pool without wearing suncreen, remember the following facts about Melanoma:
• It is the fastest growing cancer currently in USA and worldwide
• It is the most common cancer in young adults aged 20-30
• Currently MORE new cases of melanoma than HIV/AIDS
• Women age 25-30: melanoma is the leading cause of cancer death
• Women age 30-35: melanoma is the #2 cause of cancer death (after breast cancer)
• Melanoma = 5% of all skin cancers / 71% all skin cancer deaths
• Melanoma does occur in ALL races and age groups – including Pediatric age groups
So PLEASE, wear sunscreen and see a dermatologist for annual skin exams.
