Last week before Christmas our playgroup started a new tradition this year by celebrating Christmas together with a Happy Birthday Jesus party for the kids complete with cake and singing. It was a lot of fun to see all the kids in their holiday attire. We've added two new little ones born into our group this year so it was so neat to have them with us and crazy that some our "babies" are now big brothers/sister.
Andrew was especially taken with the babies, which was so sweet. He didn't want anyone holding "his" babies, including the adults! He needs to convince his daddy that he should be a big brother ;-)!

2007 Flash Back (we've added 2 babies since then!)
All the kids: 7 boys and only 2 girls! Someone needs to have a set of triplet girls to help even it out a little bit (but not me ;-)
We are so blessed that our children are surounded by the children of other believers and are starting out in life with such sweet friends.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas this year, We were blessed to have a very nice day and the boys had so much fun. Thank you Jesus for being born and for the precious gift you offer us! I have a zillion pictures to upload so here is a preview to tide you over.
Christmas with Mama's Family
Christmas with Daddy's Family
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Italy Texas, that is. We had our first Christmas with my mom's side of the family since Papa (pronounced paw-paw) passed away last year (we chose to forgo celebrating last year so soon after his funeral). It was great to see Paula and my aunts uncles and cousins. I'm so glad the boys got the opportunity to visit that side of our family since it's hard to get everyone together. We went up the night before and stayed with our friends Christie, Dave & Owen and had a great time visiting with them and Christie's siblings and their families. Our parents were all friends growing up and then all us kids were friends growing up so now it's so special to see all our kids becoming friends too. After we celebrated at Paula's we joined back up with all of them at their parents' for more catching up with everyone.
