First Ever Give Away!!!

I recently discovered the most genius kids product ever. If your kids are anything like mine, the recent time change has thrown them for a loop and they continually end up in our room at the crack of dawn, well before I'm ready to step into my mothering shoes and begin the day. And since my kids are not quite three and don't tell time, I can't just stick a regular old clock in there and tell them to come out when its 7am.

While doing some Christmas shopping on the Internet I came across a product called "My Tot Clock". I was hoping to find something that could train my kids back into our routine but with the sun rising so early, they just don't get why Mama isn't ready to start the day when they are.

After reading several of the highly positive reviews I decided to order it, thinking I'd save it and give it to them as a birthday gift. But let's face it, this is really a gift for me ;-) so when it arrived I couldn't wait to try it out. It was a little pricey (49.95) but believe me it was worth every penny.

It looks complicated at first glance but it's very user friendly. You choose bed time and wake time and the clock lights up Blue to symbolize night time and turns yellow at the time you set for wake. This way I explain to the kids that it's still night time as long as the blue light is on and they can only get out of bed when the yellow light is on.

Clock

In the past, it's been a huge tantrum fest when I lead them back to their beds but after getting the clock, I just point at it and say "Mr. Clock is blue so it's still night night time. When he turns yellow, then you can come to Mama's room". And much to my amazement, they didn't even argue this. I have our clock set to play soft good morning music when the yellow wake up light comes on. The kids get so excited when this happens.

In addition to the colored lights it has many extra features including nap time setting, time out settings (red light), reward settings (green light). And it also comes with a cartridge that if you so choose, it will read them a bed time story, then play lullabies, and finally switch to white noise all based on your preferences. You can order other story cartridges through their site.

The bed time story/songs feature is really great. Instead of begging me to read "nuther book" over and over, they are eager to listen to Mr Clocks story and haven't been fighting bedtime. I wish I'd bought this clock back when I first converted the cribs to toddler beds because it's been a lifesaver.

I'm SO excited to announce that one lucky reader is going to get their very OWN awesome My Tot Clock!!!!

I recently wrote to the company to profess my love for their product and they generously offered to sponsor a give away here at Adam & Andrew's blog. This is a value of $49.95 and would make a fantastic Christmas gift if you don't have little ones of your own.

So how do you enter???

Simply leave a comment on this post telling me how you originally found Adam & Andrew's blog and then go back to your own blog (or Facebook page if you don't have a blog) and post about our giveaway and include Adam & Andrew's badge/link (instructions/code down below). Make sure your comment has a link back to you. Out of appreciation to My Tot Clock for their generosity I want to get the word out as much as I can about their product.

Only one entry per person, US residents only please. I'll use random.org to generate a random number that will select our winner.

Goodness. I have to think how I originally came to read your blog... It was years ago now! Maybe through the Ferguson's blog? Anyway, reading about Adam and Andrew's lives has been inspiring.

Lindsey, you're such a good mom and I just know that the Lord has SO much in store for your two miracles. You're going to have your hands full the way those two seem to be running about!

I put your icon on my sidebar, because I hope more people come and read your story. Wow. It's a big one, pointing to a very big God!

I'm going to make a post later today talking about your SUPER FLY giveaway!

BTW, your nephew Ben is too precious. One of my favorite babies and I've never met him! That Dana sure seems like a great momma, doesn't she? ;)

A few years ago I did a search for Women's Hospital to see if anyone who was in the NICU with my son blogged. I found your blog instead and have been following ever since!

Hmmm...I think I got your blog address from my mom who got it from Ron. But, my memory is fuzzy! I want to win! Pick me!

I started following your blog when I saw it on Bless Our Nest. I enjoy reading about other kids around the same age as mine. Adam and Andrew's story captivated me and your involvement with reducing premature births through March of Dimes and others is inspiring!

How did I find your blog? I really don't remember. I do know it was in searching for preemie/NICU related websites. (I am a mom to 3 preemies.) I do know that I have been reading about Andrew and Adam for about a year now and I think they are adorable and I love hearing (reading) about all their accomplishments.

We found your blog by chance. I was pregnant with my son, Brooks and he was due on March 12th, 2007 the same time your boys were due. So, I followed you every step of the way to "compare" how things were going for you as compared to me. Then you ended up going into labor so early and we started to pray and share your story with those in Minnesota. I had my friends look at your site and pray for you. Since then, we have been amazed at how beautiful your children are and how well they are doing. Praise the Lord. We feel like we know you and my husband says to me sometimes..."How are Adam and Andrew doing?" Ha! Thanks for the great blog!

Hi there, I found your blog almost 3 years ago after I had my daughter, Maggie. She'll be 3 in January. I think I found you through a friend of a friend of a friend, etc. But I was compelled to start reading about the tiny miracles you had been blessed with and to put my own newborn/new mother issues into perspective:) I'm a rare commenter but check in frequently:)

the clock looks awesome!

I found your blog when Kierstyn K. sent out a prayer request email when you went into labor! Have been following and praying ever since...

This clock is great! If I don't win, I think I'll still buy one for my niece - she's about to transition into her big girl room/bed to make way for her little brother who's due right around her 2nd birthday! I think this would be perfect to have right as the transition is made, just like you said.

I must have found your blog through Rachel's (we went to Alabama together) and I believe I started reading it before I was ever pregnant. However, once I got pregnant with twin boys it became even more special to me. Then your story was comfort to me through the birth and NICU stay for my own sons. Adam and Andrew are household names around my family as I check in on you guys often. Thanks for sharing your story and for letting God's glory and sovereinty shine through you all.

What an awesome idea! We will be transitioning Hannah to her big girl room early next year, and I think this would be a great help.

I found your blog through the Krajcas. My sister, Amy, worked with Kierstyn in BCS just after she graduated from A&M. I've been following your sweet boys since just before you delivered them.

I'm actually posting about this on our family blog (www.aliciaandchris.blogspot.com) AND my recipe and idea blog (sometinytidbits.blogspot.com) because I love the product so much.

Thought you already did this? Don't want to win, just want to give you support!
Continuing to pray!
II Samuel 22:29-33 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

I think I'm too late for the contest, but that clock is AWESOME!!!!!! Actually I was just making the rounds of all the blogs of the old board girls and wanted to make sure you knew I was here. I'm so sorry to hear about Andrew's traumatic experience with the procedure he had done! Poor buddy, I hope it will get some answers for you though, not easy.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family!
