New Years Eve

New Years Eve was pretty fun during the day. We played in the snow and then took turns sledding down the driveway with the kids. They had a blast until their hands and faces got too cold and so we took them inside for a bubble bath. Our big mistake occurred when we decided to be adventurous and take all the kids to Vail to watch a night ski and fireworks show. It got down to about 5 degrees and we had to wait so long for the show to start while standing on the ski run that the kids and adults just about froze. The kids were crying and miserable so we pretty much left after the first few fireworks and fled as fast a we could to the car. We picked up pizza and spent the rest of the night cozy in front of the tv.

It was a GORGEOUS day!

Time to thaw out with a nice bubble bath

Andrew snuggles with Daddy

All bundled up, not knowing what we were getting ourselves into

5 Degrees and still fairly content at this point

Hanging out on the snow for 45 minutes pushed everyone over the edge while waiting for the fireworks, you might not be able to see but this picture includes me, Lauren, Andrew buried into my jacket and Adam trying to figure out a way to join in our huddle.

All that misery to see these skiers come down the mountain with red torches and then some fireworks

We checked this experience off our list, I think from now on if we are in CO we'll reserve fireworks viewing for July 4th only

A few hours later those of us that were still awake toasted the New Year with some yummy champagne and then called it a night.

Praying in Seattle!
Romans 5:4-6 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Know that I'm here praying!
John 11:25-26: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
