Go Aunt Amy!!

This past weekend we went on a road trip, first to Waco to watch Aunt Amy graduate FIRST in her class from Baylor Law School. She was invited to speak at the ceremony because she was the highest ranking student. She did an AMAZING job and it was so special to be there for it. We are SO proud of her!! After the ceremony we continued on down to Austin to "PC" (party & celebrate ;-). It's always nice to get away without the kids and have some fun every now and then, although my thoughts are never too far away from the boys.

This is Amy's quote from the program, makes me very teary eyed to read!

Up on the stage with all the Big Wigs

Giving her address

Proud Family

A very proud Mama

We toured the court rooms

Kenny doing his lawyerly impression

Kenny looking very lawyerly again ;-)

Overlooking the Brazos River

The campus is gorgeous!

Adam & Andrew bought Minnie Ears for Amy Mouse to wear to Disney World when we go in April

Monogrammed of course!

Uncle Tom announced to the entire restaurant that we were celebrating Amy's success

Celebratory Dinner

Next up we partied Austin style, complete with dancing atop a shark tank dance floor

A toast for the graduate!

Amy we love you VERY much and we couldn't be more proud of you for all your hard work and success!

Then back home on Sunday to watch the Superbowl. Of course with Daddy's New Orleans roots there was no question who was being cheered for in this house. This is Adam wearing Daddy's custom Saints jersey he got when he was 12

So, is Kenny a closet lawyer or what?
These verses are so comforting. Continuing to pray!!!!!!!!!
Revelation 21:1-4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Continuing to pray!
Romans 8:15-18 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
