Zoo Day

Backing way up here. The day before I left for Seattle, Sarah and I took all 5 of our kiddos to the zoo together. We were able to load all the kids and gear into one car and ride up together to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco. I was very surprised at what a nice and fun zoo it was for such a small town. Sarah's parents and my sis-in-law Amy met us there so we had some much needed extra hands. I think everyone in the state had the same thought as us because it was SO crowded.

The kids did great, pretty good for 5 boys three and under all crammed together in a car and then a busy place all day.

Jumping on musical tiles

The boys had a blast getting out of the stroller and exploring some

Our favorite part of the day was seeing the adorable baby jaguars running around

Aren't they precious! Hard to believe they grow up to be so ferocious!

Adam's favorite was this slide through the otter tank. He kept trying to cut in line and do it again.

Andrew was having some sensory overload from this attraction, this is him going down backwards on his belly and clinging on in protest. But later he said it was fun ;-)

All the kids had a blast in the play area which was really well designed for creative play and burning off lots of energy

Fish Tanks

And of course it wouldn't be Waco without a beautiful Bear!

What an absolutely perfect day it was. The boys have been begging to go back ever since. Maybe we'll get Daddy to go with us someday.

We have Jesus Christ, Almighty God, on our side, with us every step of the way! Praying!
Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Know that I'm here praying!
Psalm 130:1-4: Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

The passage today is a little different. But the way I look at it, life itself is a battle and the Lord doesn't change. He was with the Israelites as they headed into the Promised Land, and He's with you, helping you and giving you strength to face whatever lies ahead. Always here praying!
Deuteronomy 20:1-4: When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Continuing to lift up prayers!
Psalm 130:5-8 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Praying!
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
