Piney Lake

On Daddy's last day in CO the entire family drove the long winding dirt path of switch backs that climb all the way up to Piney Lake. It's only 1l miles above Vail but takes like an hour to get there because the road is so rough from the winter run off but it's totally worth the time it takes to reach this amazing place.

We had a outdoor lunch on the picnic tables when we arrived.

Andrew is obsessed with Gatorade but I try to keep it away from him because I think the Red40 dye makes him totally wild.

Of course we had to get pictures of the boys on this old wagon with the mountains in the back ground

I love this one

And this one. The scenery is almost other worldly

We decided to take the boys on their first canoe ride, they were so excited.

Waiting for more oars to come back in

We played at the playground while we waited

I think it's our turn!

Lifejackets on in case we tip

And we're off!

The boys especially loved getting to row

Andrew's turn

We finally got a group picture of the whole family
L-R:
My BIL Shawn, Nephew Ben, Sis Dana, Brother Casey holding Nephew Luke, SIL Rachel holding Niece Kate, Niece Lauren Seated, Adam, Kenny, Andrew, Me, Mom & Dad

We finally got a decent shot of the 4 of us

Oh how I love my twin boys

Ben decided to drive us back down the mountain, just kidding =-)

And a little wild life to end our trip

What an awesome day and I'm so glad Kenny got to make it with the boys & I. The last time we went to Piney Lake together was the year we got married.

What a beautiful place to be!
Couldn't you give Andrew a different flavor Gatorade?
These are such amazing and comforting words of Scripture. Praying!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The boys don't even look like they needed haircuts!
Know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 142:1-3a I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path.

Lifting up prayers!
Psalms 142:5-7 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
