October Fun

The last week of October was very eventful and fun filled.

First was a Halloween Party at gymnastics (here they are with Miss Barb, their instructor)

Hudson, Jackson & Greyson too

Then one late afternoon we met them at the pumpkin patch, here they are trying to figure out how to walk and all hold hands at the same time, LOL

That's how you do it!

A special bond!

Were they excited to see the pumpkins?

Not really, they cared more about the hay . . . .

. . . . . because nothing says little boy like a good old hay fight

Then the boys had their school Halloween party and I was responsible for doing a craft and bringing part of the snacks. It was the first time I've spent much time in their classroom and it was wonderful seeing them interact with their teachers and peers. It totally confirmed my decision to send them to this school, it's just such a special place.

My Buzz Lightyears

Andrew apparently loves to have Mrs. F read him every book on the shelf every chance he can get. I LOVE that! It was fun to see the boys doing there own thing and then every so often Andrew would say "Be right back, I have to check on my brother Adam". Then he would do just that and then return to whatever activity he was involved in. How sweet is that?

One evening we decided to make Halloween brownies with orange sprinkles and spooky cookie cutters. The boys LOVE to help!

Putting on the sprinkles

Looks yummy!

While the brownies were in the oven we made a Mrs. Pumpkin Head

They took turns putting the pieces into the holes

Very serious business!

So proud of their team work!

Then we carved our big pumpkin. I think this is the most beautiful pumpkin I'd ever seen. I almost didn't want to carve it.

But what fun would that have been?

Are these two cute or what?

Digging out the yucky stuff

While Daddy carved the pumpkin the boys decorated one of their little ones with stickers and paint

Then the brownies were ready so the boys picked their favorite spooky shape to cut out

Andrew's Brownie Ghost

Poor Kenny, I picked the most difficult design but I loved the way it turned out and I really think it captured how I felt about all the memories we made this week.

Thankful Indeed!!

Praying!
Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Always such comforting words...praying in Seattle!
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Lifting up prayers right now!
Isaiah 25:4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
