Thankful for these girls!

I got a chance to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my dear friend Sarah's new baby girl. I can't wait to meet this precious gift!

After the shower we were able to go on a quick getaway just us girls before the new baby arrives. We had a blast shopping, dining, and just enjoying being together!

True friends are such a treasure! I'm certainly blessed!

Now if baby Emerson would just hurry up and make her debut!

Summer Adventures

We've been having a lot of fun summer adventures!
One sign of success:

One morning we went to the Houston Children's Museum

Adam was interested in the science experiments

The Fishing is always a hit!

A Quick Visit to a Mexican Marketplace

The highlight was getting to be real spidermen and climb all through through this web of platforms all the way to the roof

They were so brave!

And one random photo from soccer closing ceremony. They were so proud of their trophies!

"Just thinkin' about tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun!"

It finally rained around here, Praise the Lord!

These pictures are not from this week but from the only other time it's rained here in the past 4 months ;-) so I figured now was as good a time as any to post them.

The boys acted like they've never seen rain before so we played in the big puddles and had a blast.

It was all fun and games until we went inside, and while I was throwing their filthy clothes in the washer they decided to go roll around under the covers in my bed covered in mud and wet mulch.  Fun times!

Changing topics here, our niece was recently in a stage production of Annie. She played one of the orphan's and so we took the boys to see the play. Several of our church members were also in it so it was a lot of fun to watch and everyone did an amazing job.  The boys were hooked and have been singing the songs ever since so I got them the movie version because they kept asking to watch the play again. That was hard to explain!

Andrew is officially in love with little orphan Annie and has declared that he wants her to come to our house and play and that when he grows up he is going to marry her, LOL. So precious! It's hard to explain these "live" characters/actors to him. Cartoons are easy to explain.  Also he can't figure out why his cousin Lauren can't be seen anywhere in the movie and he did not like that Mrs. Hannagan was mean to her and all the other children.  I told him they were just pretending and that Annie wasn't a real person. So he wanted to know if that meant she was a robot.  Kids are so literal, it's too cute.

"Annie can you come to my house? Annie will you marry me when I grow big?"
