Light at the end of the tunnel

One day Pa took us to explore an abandoned railroad tunnel at Tennessee Pass.

(a train hasn't used them in 10+ years so he was safe.)

Ready for an adventure!

See that yellow circle in the middle? That's the "light" at the other end. It was a very long tunnel.

Much longer than it looked, we only made it a few hundred yards and weren't even half way. The ground was very uneven and it was freezing, wet and dark inside so we decided not to go the whole way. But Adam is determined to go back and finish some day.

The kids all agreed that this was very a "cool" outing.
