Zoo Field Trip

Before Christmas we had a few days off from school so we made a quick trip up to Waco to visit the zoo. It was one of those days where nobody else thinks to go so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Merry Christmas!!!

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!!

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:11

Oh holy night . . .

The children are tucked into bed after a wonderful evening of Christmas Eve traditions. A beautiful church service, reading from the advent calendar with daddy and a storybook about the nativity. Cookies and milk placed by the fireplace, reindeer food sprinkled on the lawn . . .

Here are a few pictures

Santa came to visit! I can't wait to see their faces in the morning.

I love this day, thank you Lord for sending your Son in such an amazing way. What a miracle!! Christ is born!

Ally at 7 Months

Ally is more than half way to being a year old. I really wish time would slow down a bit!  7 Months has been a super fun age. She still doesn't have any teeth and she's not yet crawling but she's getting closer every day. She always has a lot to say and you just can't help but smile back at her.

I just love her pretty blue eyes and her chubby cheeks and legs ;-)

See those rosey red cheeks? My poor girl has had her first sickness and is currently on antibiotics. She's had a really bad cough and runny nose and eyes and hasn't been quite her happy self this week but hopefully she'll be feeling better soon

I keep thinking that the novelty of having a baby around would wear off eventually with the boys but I was wrong! They are just as crazy about her now as the day she was born.

I love that they love each other SO much!

Getting so close to crawling, though I must confess that she'd probably be crawling if I didn't reach down and pick her up every time she tries to move lol. I'm just not ready for her to grow up yet but I know I can't stop it from happening ;-)

I can't complain about this sweet girl, she really is a happy and easy baby!

A few pictures in her big girl Christmas dress from before church last week

I wish I could pull off wearing ruby red Dorothy shoes in my size ;-) SO fun!

Another joyful month has passed by with our sweet Allygator! We are having such a fun year!

"There's a killer whale waiting for me!"

If you know Andrew at all, you know he's a bit of a Killer Whale aficionado. It would probably classify as a borderline obsession ;-). This is no passing whim, he has been fascinated with them for at least three years. So when the opportunity arose to make a quick trip to Seaworld a while back, Dana and I decided it would be a great field trip for all the kids. We were very blessed to have our young friend Lizzie come with us too, its always great to have an extra set of helpful hands when the daddies are not around!

Ready to head to SeaWorld in their matching shirts

Andrew was too funny, as soon as we pulled into the parking lot he said "Mama there's a killer whale waiting for me!!" and later "I can't wait to go see my buddy! (referring to shamu)"

So excited!

It always warms a mother's heart to see her child experience something that brings them so much joy!

I love that boy!

Babies! I've never been asked so many times "Are they twins?" Definitely Dejavu LOL

Enjoying a few rides

We LOVE dolphins!

I think everyone but Adam was able to touch the dolphins this trip. Adam was too anxious when feeding them and then once his fish were gone he decided he was ready and then was SO sad when they wouldn't come back to him. A good life lesson on regrets . . .

Andrew loved seeing her in it!

Blessed to enjoy a fun and educational field trip!
